When the linear module is not used for a long time, if it is not carefully maintained, when it is used suddenly, the precision and speed will be reduced, the service life will be shortened, or other corrosion, rust and other defects will be formed. Peacetime protection includes the following aspects.

1、 If the motor matching with linear module is DC motor, when DC motor is stopped, the linear module feature shall remove the brush from DC motor to prevent chemical corrosion from damaging the commutator, then reduce the function of commutator, even lower the linear module function of the whole commutator, which will cause the linear module to fail to work normally.

2、 In rainy season or in a high relative humidity environment, the linear module should be powered on at regular time. When the motor is not working, that is, when the machine tool is locked, it can idle. The heating principle of electrical components is used to disperse the moisture in the linear module to ensure the stability and reliability of its function. In addition, the conventional power supply can ensure the charging demand of the backup battery, but the battery voltage should be checked frequently. If it is too low, the demand shall be replaced immediately to prevent data loss caused by power failure.

3、 For the linear module that has been stopped, rust proof oil and lubricating oil shall be used regularly to prevent rust or corrosion and prevent defects in use.

The fine linear module has a small friction resistance, so it only needs a small driving force to move the load. The low friction resistance of linear module material helps to reduce heating effect. Therefore, compared with the traditional sliding mode system, the friction resistance of linear module is reduced and the precision can be maintained for a long time.

As an important part of fine machine tool, linear module is required to operate correctly to prevent abnormal wear in order to ensure the speed, accuracy and service life of the module. If the daily protection work is done well, the linear module can maintain good function for a long time, extend the service life, and timely discover and eliminate hidden dangers. Especially when linear module is not used for a long time, more attention should be paid to the protection of ordinary times.
