Working principle of linear motor:

Is the use of electromagnetic effect, the electric energy is directly converted into linear kinetic energy drive device, it is a kind of motor that can achieve reciprocating linear motion.

Linear motor is derived from rotary motor in terms of structure and working principle. The traditional CNC machine tool is a rotary motor + ball screw motion system, which drives the transmission mechanism through the motor rotation, and converts the rotary motion into linear motion. Due to the limitation of the technical characteristics of the rotary motor, it can not meet the needs of high-precision machine tools. The linear motor is a kind of transmission device which directly converts electric energy into linear motion mechanical energy, so it does not need any intermediate conversion mechanism.

From the working characteristics of linear motor, it can be seen that linear motor drive can provide higher speed and acceleration, reduce mechanical wear and improve machining accuracy and repeatability. Because linear motor is driven by electromagnetic thrust, the system noise is very small and the working environment is improved. Because of these advantages of linear drive, it is very suitable for the occasions with high requirements for dynamic characteristics and accurate positioning.

Driven by high acceleration and high speed linear motor, the high flexible drag chain cable connected with linear motor will also follow the motor to do high acceleration, high speed and long distance reciprocating motion, which requires the drag chain cable to bear relatively large mechanical stress. Some drag chain cables with poor quality are easy to bear the mechanical stress under high speed motion, The outer sheath is elongated in the process of motion acceleration, and then rebounds in the process of motion deceleration, which will cause greater friction between the outer sheath and the conductor core wire, causing serious wear of the drag chain cable, core wire short circuit, insulation / sheath cracking and other abnormal conditions, thus affecting the normal work of machinery and equipment.

Therefore, the high flexible drag chain cable used in the linear motor drive system must be able to withstand strong mechanical stress. Secondly, the drag chain cable should have the characteristics of high flexibility, bending resistance and wear resistance.
